Renargne

The villain of the story - a swindling and dastardly devil, Renargne is recognizable for his love of refined and opulent aristocrat or Victorian aesthetics, in such a way he could only be described as ressembling a mountebank or a swindler.He lives with a Carpe Diem mentality, enjoying preying on mortals and indulging in debauchery and satiating his hunger and cravings.
He has been known to have a gluttonous apetite, a greed far surpassing other devils, and never runs out of schemes and tricks to fill his pockets and stomach.Although he is not an exceptionally strong devil, he still strikes fear in the heart of common mortals and possesses the ability to shapeshift in order to better catch or trick them.

Biography

Renargne was born a devil, although he thought he was just a regular fiend at first. Born from a human woman and a devil, he lived with his father, serving as a page and attendant when he was still a young girl, while his father carried out infernal affairs, swindling mortals and amassing wealth.When he was old enough, he simply left and his father let him be, not having interest in keeping him around. He fully transitioned then, building a new identity and working as a jester and bard, scheming and corrupting nobles in courts, or scamming gullible villagers.He later gained interest in his infernal origins after meddling with warlocks and other fiends. Slowly growing more powerful the more souls he claimed and infernal knowledge he amassed, but also growing hungrier, until he fully evolved into a proper devil.Now able to shapeshift and an expert of the art of infernal contracts, Renargne could live his life as he always intended: indulging his every desire. Be it as a powerful lord, a rich magnate, or a creature being spoiled. All that mattered for him, was to be satiated, flattered and sexually fulfilled.

It was on a random encounter that he met Omelette. A gargoyle was a rare sight to behold, and Renargne immediately took interest. Offering her to work for him, Omelette, in search of a master and charmed by the swindling devil, accepted. She was a minion, a familiar, but quickly became conflicted with her own feelings - slowly revelling in the indulgence he partook in and enjoying answering to his every whims.Eventually, Omelette became independent. She started to travel on her own, desiring to settle and live a tranquil life or to go on adventures. She left Renargne to his scheming, until eventually she was no longer bond to him, now fully in control of her powers and her own fate.It was an amicable departure, but that didn't mean Renargne would stop being a central part of Omelette's life. Appearing when Omelette expects it the least, taking on new forms to match hers, and following her through every universe she'd manifested herself. No matter how unconvenient, how badly timed and how humiliating, terrifying or enticing those encounters might be, Omelette couldn't deny how much she was enjoying it, and seeing her flustered was enough to motivate him to keep up this game.

  • Renargne is exclusively motivated by pleasure. For him, being a rich magnate living in a lavish mansion and being served to his every whims, is just as satisfying as being a creature lounging in an enclosure or a commoner's house as long as he is full to the brim or has a prey to tease and play with.

  • Renargne is French, and his accent is quite noticeable even though he speaks perfect English.

  • He is MtF transgender. He chooses to keep his female genitalia in most forms and uses He-Him pronouns exclusively.

  • Renargne doesn't realize just how untrustworthy he looks. He just believes he has impecable taste in fashion and is intimidating, not realizing he looks and speaks like a mountebank.

  • While he is a devil, Renargne often is represented as a fox, because it's his namesake, and it looks innocuous enough amongst mortals.

  • Renargne, being a devil, prefers to prey on people who have concealed desires and are easily flustered. He can sense the arousal of people, and likes to play on it, often making them the ones to give into it.

  • On the other hand, he's not interested in teasing or striking a contract with someone who's clearly not into it or won't accept his proposals. He doesn't find any satisfaction or pleasure in it. In that case, he'll eat someone just to satiate his hunger.

My fursona - a compliant and overthinking gargoyle, looking for peace and trying to indulge from time to time with her submissive tendencies and her ravenous cravings, although she feels embarassed and flustered about it.While she does her best to try and help people as well as be polite, she tends to prefer staying on the side, and finds pleasure in simple things as well as living a plain life or roaming around.She can take on different forms depending on her current needs and moods, and has the ability to "respawn" upon death.

Biography

Omelette is a gargoyle, still struggling to find her place in an ever-changing world. Her own nature as a guardian creature makes her keen to wanting to help and serve others, but also contributes to making her tend to be submissive and attracted to people with power or charisma, no matter how insufferable they might be.She is a loner and an introvert, but still possesses a friendly disposition. She enjoys chatting and meeting new people, but rarely ever reaches out to chat and prefers being in a group setting.
She greatly enjoys organization and tasks, following rules or orders, and so she despises improvisation and last-minute changes.She's a simple thing, not looking for any renown or fame, and inspiring to have the means necessary to live a comfortable and tranquil life. She finds comfort when she can be in mundane situations, such as living amongst mortals in a village, doing quest work or being a scholar in an academy.

Beneath this plain and square demeanor however, Omelette often fantasizes about being devoured, claimed, and digested - considering it the ultimate act of devotion and intimacy, finding pleasure in being the source of a predator's satisfied bliss or the center of their interest.Her own submissive nature also contributes to her falling for obvious swindling types or dastardly characters that contrast to her compliant and gentle nature. She is still a gargoyle, and a minion or familiar at heart. Following orders brings her deep satisfaction despite her own conflicted feelings.
For a time, she was Renargne's familiar and henchman, enjoying working for the devil, before she eventually set off on her own, and met Mellis, her current partner. This doesn't mean that she doesn't see Renargne anymore however, and for the best or the worst, she is often being tormented by him, and secretly (although a terribly kept secret) enjoys it.In a strange loop-around of lustful thoughts about filling a villain's gut, she also gets affected by the very same cravings of wanting to devour others or binge excessive amount of food, getting aroused by the idea of feeling this same sense of bliss, domination and greedy self-indulgence.
She daydreams about being an obedient "pet" to a master who pampers and praises her, or gets flustered with the idea of potentially making herself more apetizing to the predators she daydreams about.

  • She is not naive, and is in fact quite educated and logical, but her submissive nature makes her more inclined to not want to doubt others or contradict them, or sometimes purposefully let herself be swindled or walk into traps.

  • Her horns are made of pure gold, although they cannot be extracted, and would turn to brittle stone like the rest of her body if they get extracted or if she perishes. Assuring that she dies while in bliss (such as during digestion) ensures they will be kept intact.

  • Her horns grow like nails would, but this is halted when she resurrects, making them reappear as small nubs.

  • She occasionally wears glasses, although only to avoid eye strains.

  • She rarely ever gains weight on her figure from her binges or devouring prey, aside from her gut. Everything is alocated to her tail post-digestion, causing it to be heavier and wider the fatter it gets, before it eventually goes back to normal after processing for some time.

Gargoyle species info

A mythical creature originating from the underworld, a gargoyle is meant to establish a link between humans and the forces existing out of their mortal reach.
They originally existed to act as guardians, protecting mortals from beings of the underworld, but have since strayed from their original intent once humans had developped advanced means of magic, or had established deals with said dark forces.
They are now often served as familiars and minions, appreciated for their submissive and compliant nature, sometimes to righteous sorcerers, sometimes to nefarious devils or warlocks.

Each gargoyle is born a unique species, their features unique and often grotesque, a mish-mash of animal, human and creature features brought together in a chimeric fashion.
This is also exarcebated by the fact that they possess the ability to change form, in order to better integrate amongst mortals or serve them. They cannot change their defining physical traits (such as color, hair, etc.), but can assume the form of a different species.

They are immortal and are able to resurrect, reappearing in the form of a statue in the nearest place establishing links between the mortal world and the underworld (places of worship, graveyards, academies...). They only need to move to come to life once more.They now roam about the mortal realm, unwelcomed in the underworld, and searching for a place in human society. Often finding themselves as familiars, guardians or contractors in academies, villages, dungeons or estates.
Some have used their unique ability to change forms in order to integrate certain societies. Omelette sometimes taking on a human form to live as a simple townsperson or an adventurer.

*Gargoyles as described here are not a closed species. They're just a species I made up for my own characters.
*People are allowed to create characters using my concept of gargoyles, but please be aware that this is not a community thing, and that it should be your own character. I'm not interested in doing character interactions or integrating other people's characters in my lore.
